Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix is a Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident from the moment she began attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first race, Felix placed 2nd in the 200-meter race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school and subsequently signed an official contract to Adidas. In the year 2004, she was enrolled at the University of Southern California, which is where she studied elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. Felix set an Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world champion of 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, beating her former Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in her first Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three in all her competitions.
