Gugulethu-SofiaMbatha, also known as Gugu Mbatha Raw is an actor British actress who gained fame for her role in 'Doctor who. The British Science-fiction TV series broadcast on BBC. Gugu was famous for her character Tish Jones on the series by BBC. She played the role of the sister to a main character named Martha Jones. The audience loved her cheerful spontaneity and there was no stopping Gugu from a successful career as an actor! Gugu also has appeared on a number of other British television and stage productions till date. Her work has been highly praised by critics for her role on "Belle" (2013), an English period drama, as well as "Beyond the lights" the romantic comedy. Her mother immigrated to the United States in 1958, in the form of an immigrant from Germany. She had been diagnosed with breast cancer in the year 1989. Handler is a Reform Jew as well as her father who was Jewish. Handler had a pleasant and healthy life within a thriving neighborhood. As a teenager, Handler relocated into Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. Handler employed as an actor in order to support herself. Handler, who was then at the age of 21 was able to concentrate on stand-up comedy full time after discovering her storytelling skills. Handler began her professional career being a part of the only female Oxygen team, and starred in a TV show called Girls Behaving Badly. This series was known for its secret camera and the practical joke. From 2002 to 2005, the series aired. Handler worked on numerous other shows including Weekends at D.L. The Bernie Mac Show My Wife and Kids, The Practice, and Weekends at D.L. Handler began her professional career as a reporter for The Tonight Show. Handler got her most famous break in 2006, as she was named host on E! known as The Chelsea Handler show. The show ran over two years. Following the show, Handler performed on the Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour in the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend & HBO have shown Handler's stand-up performance. The show was announced as the host of The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in 2010. This made her the second woman in the history of television, after Roseanne Barr, to host VMAs.
